Job Description |
Our client is seeking a highly talented and self-motivated individual to join their team as a Manager of Manufacturing.
The Manager of Manufacturing position will be responsible for managing all aspects of solid dosage forms manufacturing (Compression, Coating and Encapsulation) and associated logistical operations regarding the flow of raw materials and supplies into the facility and the flow of product from the facility.
Essential responsibilities:
Managing the operations of the Manufacturing Department which includes the scheduling of production, the supervision of departmental personnel and the timely completion of production batches and associated documentation.
Creating, revising, and maintaining departmental SOP’s and employee training levels.
Identify ways to improve processes, increase operational efficiencies and lower the costs associated with manufacturing.
Adhering to established GMP, DEA and EHS requirements on an ongoing basis
Coordinating the maintenance, calibration and upgrading of departmental equipment/facilities.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be accountable for the following:
· Complying with established company policies and procedures
· Functioning in a professional manner and maintaining a high level of professional standards
· The safety of all processes and operations, and the compliance with all established safety SOP’s
· The performance and development of a professional staff and the retention, direction and engagement of that staff to meet immediate and future business needs
· Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all departments and levels in the organization
· Computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel and SAP.
Preferred candidates will have:
· A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Pharmacy or the Health Sciences
· A minimum of 10 years of related solid dose manufacturing experience with a minimum of 5 years of managerial responsibility
